For my research and writing, since 2001 I have performed thousands of German Kindergarten exercises, original to Friedrich Froebel. The exercises, published in English by Ernst Steiger and Company in 1877 appear in two volumes.

The Kindergarten Guide, Volume One, The Gifts; and The Kindergarten Guide, Volume Two, The Occupations contain more than four thousand practice exercises out of which children create a wide range of knowledge, nature and beauty forms.

The Book of Patterns portrays a variety of beautiful designs by persuing hundreds of Froebel's hands-on exercises, involving studies of solids, planes, lines and points.

The beauty forms, when taken together signify the preeminence of diversity and unity found among the patterns throughout the studies appropriately conducted by children of all ages
