While the thirteen Kindergarten Gifts naturally progress from solids to planes to lines and points, the eleven Occupations as though spontaneously develop from points to lines to planes and solids. Educationally, children gain insight into the intricacies of geometric structure as a basis for inventing Knowledge, Nature and Beauty Forms.

Cube, Cylinder & Sphere

In the Occupations, the supplies are more flexible in their use than with the Gifts, which are more rigid objects played with by children to discern their natural properties - solids, planes, lines and points. The Gifts are derived by analysis of solids, which tend to keep their concrete properties, while the Occupation Material evolves, by synthesis of points, which tend to expose their abstract characters.
